Wishing Well
In the Greek and Roman section of the MET, there is a wishing well amongst the statues. I made a wish.

Time Square
A New York slideshow would not be complete without a picture of Time Square. You cannot sleep in this city. It was 7:30 a.m., I went downstairs in pursuit of coffee, but the adrenaline rush of the city itself, made me enjoy the crisp morning air, the bustle of people walking quickly to somewhere, the silence of their pace, just the sound of traffic, construction, but wordless.

Greek & Roman | MET
This was among the first images I saw when I entered my 3.5 hour adventure thru the MET that weaves you thru different time periods, romantic sentimental pieces of history in art, like a fairy tale, really. When I first saw this hall, it was absolutely beautiful, breathtaking, really.

Life in Postcards
I found this display intruiging. A wall of postcards -- notes from friends, family, lovers, neighbors -- sent to a man named Walker Evans, who spent 60 years collecting postcards. Those he loved knew how much he loved postcards -- so whenever loved ones went somewhere they shipped him a postcard. Their handwritten notes were the best. Loved this display.

"Rooftop Garden"
Roxy Paine on the Roof: Maelstrom. What better title for a display? There is a sign in the hallway: "Rooftop Garden." I roam the statues on the floor. Getting distracted. Such beautiful statues. After taking a few pictures, make my way back to the mysterious rooftop garden that no longer has a long line. I was waiting for a lush display of green on the roof. "Step behind the line," the host says. I look around. There is no line. I step back. Another person curiously approaches. The host waves, "The line. The elevator will be here in a minute." A man peaks out of the elevator, and the host waves us thru. We ride upwards. The doors open. The most intruiging display of sheer silver tree branches stretched out across the rooftop and a view of Manhattan. Beautiful.
